Berlin, Germany (IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, German BfV Intelligence said that there are about 450 German nationals fighting with the IS group in Iraq and Syria.
The head of German BfV intelligence, Hans Georg Maassen said: “There are currently around 450 Germans fighting alongside the IS group in Iraq and Syria; most of which are of German nationals, but there are some of Turkish, Bosnian, Moroccan ethnicity.”
Noteworthy, EU Counter-terrorism Coordinator, Gilles de Kerchove has said earlier in September: “About 3000 European fighters have joined ISIS and the fighters came mainly from France, Britain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Austria.
